Power Book II: Ghost season two returned to Starz earlier this month following the cliffhanger of the first series. Tariq St Patrick (played by Michael Rainey Jr) has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, not only with keeping out of jail himself but with ensuring sister Yaz’s welfare. Unfortunately, she could be unintentionally put at risk by their grandmother Estelle Green (Debbi Morgan).

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Power Book 2.

When Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton) was sent to prison for James “Ghost” St Patrick’s (Omari Hardwick) murder, her mum Estelle took Yaz in.

As Tariq got to focus more on college, this did seem to go well until the second series began.

He stopped Yaz from setting fire to the house as she was attempting to make breakfast in the season premiere.

She also told her big brother how Estelle had been drinking heavily again and he himself saw something wasn’t right when she couldn’t remember him returning home the night before.

Tariq desperately tried to contact his mum to ask for advice but with her in the witness protection programme, this was near-on impossible.

So it is up to the youngster to try and figure out what is best for all of them.

Actor Rainey Jr previously said his character is like Ghost, saying: “He always finds a way to deal with whatever he’s given.”

But with Estelle now putting Yaz’s life at risk, there may be some difficult decisions to make.

What else has Estelle Green actress Debbi Morgan been in?

Estelle is portrayed by award-winning film and television actress Debbi Morgan.

She will be best known for portraying Angie Baxter-Hubbard in the ABC soap opera All My Children for almost three decades.

Morgan left the drama in 2011 but returned once again to the American series two years later.

She was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series back in 1989.

This has been far from her only role on the small screen though.

Morgan has also starred in Generations, Loving, The City, General Hospital, Port Charles, Boston Public, Charmed, For the People and The Young and the Restless.

While the 65-year-old has spent most of her career in television, she has dipped in and out of the film industry as well.

One of her most well-known roles on the big screen was in the 1999 romantic-comedy She’s All That as Ms Rousseau.

Power Book II season two will continue on Sunday, December 5, on Starz.

The upcoming episode is called The Greater Good which indicates there could be moral ambiguity that could play a role in these latest scenes.

The synopsis reads: “Tariq tries to keep CourseCorrect from going under.

“Diana grows wary of Cane’s motives and Zeke’s future gets put at risk; Nobody can find Monet.”

Power Book 2 season 2 airs every Sunday on Starz in America and Starzplay in the UK.
