'Power Book III: Raising Kanan': How to Watch the Season 1 Finale

Power Book III: Raising Kanan introduced Power Universe fans to Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis) before his innocence was shattered. In addition to meeting Kanan at age 15, the ’90s set series has also introduced us to his family. His loving but calculating mother,  Raquel “Raq” Thomas’ (Patina Miller) runs her own drug empire, standing at the center of a male-dominated field. Raq’s business is a family affair with her brothers, Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays) and Marvin (London Brown) also intricately involved.

The first season of Raising Kanan is going out with an explosive bang, and fans are at the edge of their seats with anticipation. But how can you watch the finale when it airs?

What will the ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Season 1 finale be about?

Raising Kanan Episode 110 has been titled “Paid In Full.” As we know from episode 109, Raq and rival dealer Unique (Joey Bada$$), are in a full-blown war for the territory across South Jamaica, Queens. Kanan has been sent to shoot Detective Malcolm Howard (Omar Epps), who just happens to be his biological father, Lou Lou is awake and Marvin and Jukebox (Hailey Kilgore) have come to blows.

The official description reads, “As the situation in the neighborhood turns dire, Raq scrambles to get Kanan out of harm’s way.”

In the trailer for the forthcoming finale, Raq says that this first night of the rest of their lives. Meanwhile Unique promises to burn the southside. You can also hear Kanan speaking about shooting the detective. “I had to do it,” he says. “They was coming after me and my family.”

How can you watch the ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Season 1 finale?

If you have Starz, you can watch the Raising Kanan Season 1 finale as soon as the episode airs at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, Sept. 26. However, there are also other options if you don’t have cable. There is the opportunity to add Starz to Hulu or Amazon Prime. Both services have a 1-week free trial for those who want to try Starz. However, after the first week, the price will go up to $8.99/ monthly.

A better option might be to download the Starz app. At present, Starz is offering new subscribers a discounted rate of $3/ monthly for the first three months. Though there is no free trial it will give fans an opportunity to revisit the entire Power Universe as well as other shows like Outlander and P-Valley for a reduced price.

Moreover, for those who have access to Starz, you will be able to screen the finale early when it drops at midnight on Sept. 26.

50 Cent gave some clues about Season 2

Though the finale will be the last Raising Kanan episode until mid-to-late 2022, season 2 is already underway. Starz renewed Raising Kanan for Season 2 before the show even premiered. “One season isn’t enough to tell the coming of age story of Kanan Stark and his mother, Raq, a fierce and successful woman who is a force of nature,” Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said in a statement via Entertainment Weekly. “The anticipation globally for more of the Power Universe made it clear that the Kanan story needs to continue.”

Season 2 is currently being filmed in New York and executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has hinted at what’s to come. He teased that the elusive Breeze, a young Ghost, and a young Tommy could appear in the latter half of season 2. “Those characters could possibly pop up in Raising Kanan,” 50 Cent told Express. “We’re already on a journey, it explains the monster you saw in me playing Kanan. The trauma, everything he’s gone through.”
