RHOSLC star Jen Shah's assistant Stuart Smith pleads guilty in wire fraud scandal as reality star denies involvement

REAL Housewives Of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah's assistant Stuart Smith has pleaded in the wild fraud scandal after previously proclaiming his innocence.

Reality star Jen, 47, has already pleaded not guilty as fans recently saw Homeland Security swarm her home.

“He pleaded guilty to three counts: conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction of justice,” attorney Ronald Richards, who is not affiliated with the case, told Us Weekly of the star's assistant, 43.

The attorney added: “He admitted to hiding ownership and money, defrauding elderly people and lying to the Federal Trade Commission in a deposition, which constituted perjury."

Stuart now faces up to 30 years behind bars just months after originally pleading not guilty before seemingly having a change of heart.

He will be sentence in March 2022.

As for Jen, she was arrested in March 2021 and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a "telemarketing scheme."

According to legal documents, both Jen and Stuart are accused of targeting senior citizens to scam them out of money in their alleged scheme.

Previously, the RHOSLC star was slammed by fans after they accused her of "lying" before her arrest as she instead told costars her husband, Sharrieff Shah Sr., was “hospitalized for internal bleeding.”

It kicked off just minutes before the women were supposed to head to Vail, Colorado for a group trip.

Gathered in the parking lot of Heather Gay’s Beauty Lab & Laser center, Jen sat on the charter bus with her pals as production packed up the equipment.

While on the bus, Jen got a call and immediately acted frazzled while heard saying: “I need to go to the house?”

She talked to someone on the phone for several minutes before coming back to tell the group she needed to go.

'BAD NEWS'

Jen nervously told her costars: “I have some bad news. I just got a phone call and [her husband] Sharrieff Sr. is in the hospital so I’ve got to go.

“I need to go there. He had an appointment and he has internal bleeding and they’re not sure if they’ll need surgery.

“I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know what’s wrong. But you guys go.”

Once the TV star left, Homeland Security Investigation unit swarmed the parking lot.

There have been no reports or records made public to indicate Sharrieff was hospitalized on this day.

FEDS MOVE IN

Viewers also saw armed feds swarm Jen's home as the officers evacuated her sons Omar, 16, and Sharrieff Jr., 26.

Afterwards, Jen headed out of the courthouse with her lawyer and went straight to her car while ignoring questions from reporters.

The reality star's arrest and telemarketing fraud accusations will now be covered in an explosive new Hulu documentary titled, The Housewife & the Shah Shocker.
