The 26-year-old EastEnders actress got through to next week’s show after receiving positive feedback from the Strictly Come Dancing judges following her Salsa on Saturday’s show. Partnered with Giovanni Pernice, she was given a score of 26 and found out on Sunday she had got through to Movie Week. Speaking to Claudia Winkleman, Rose explained her family members failed to recognise her during the first live show last week.

“Let me ask you about your parents and your friends,” host Claudia said.

“Because I believe they don’t recognise you, they’re going ‘where’s Rose?'”

“Yeah,” Rose replied, explaining: “My brother last week, he saw me on TV and everyone went ‘that’s Rose’ and he said ‘no that’s not Rose’.

“Until my name was called out, he was like ‘no’. I looked completely different.”

“We cannot wait to see you do a beautiful Foxtrot next week, thank you so much,” Claudia responded.

Rose has starred in EastEnders since last year as Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) daughter Frankie Lewis.

She has already made show history by being the first deaf contestant to take part in both EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing.

Following her dramatic Salsa on the weekend, she became emotional as she was shown a video message from her friends.

Claudia told viewers that the actress had been forced to miss the wedding of her friends due to being on the dance show.

The presenter then shared a special video message from Rose’s friends Russell and Camilla.

Using British Sign Language (BSL), the couple portrayed a sweet message to Rose.

“Just wanted to say a huge congratulations on your Salsa tonight. You’re incredible!” Russell said.

Camilla added: “We’re so proud of you and we love you so much. Can’t wait to see you again soon.”

An emotional Rose was left fighting back tears after watching her friends.

“I don’t want to make you sad,” Claudia commented, as Rose remarked: “That’s a really lovely surprise.

“I love them two just so much.” Claudia replied: “I know. They love you just as much.”

During Movie Week on next Saturday’s Strictly, Rose will be taking on a slower Foxtrot.

Rose said she was “really grateful” to have got through to another week.

“I’m excited to do the Foxtrot,” she told Claudia.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays at 6.45pm on BBC One.
