1. Noah stalks Chloe

Noah Dingle (portrayed by Jack Downham) is adamant on getting back into Chloe Harris' (Jessie Elland) good books.

But after trying to take advantage of young Amelia Spencer, he resorts to more troubling ways to get the attention he wants.

After stealing her phone to track her every move, Noah’s shocked when Chloe walks into the salon as his location tracker clearly indicated her to be somewhere else.

He soon learns that she’s lost her phone and he eagerly heads to find it, knowing already where Chloe misplaced it.

Chloe’s elated when he returns her missing phone and, when her plans with Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) go awry, a casual Noah offers his tickets for an escape room and is right back in her good books.

She remains under his spell… but is also blissfully unaware of all his scheming.

Unbeknownst to her, Noah has bought himself a new drone and quickly hovers it outside Chloe's bedroom window to record her.

Noah goes a step further by swiping her house keys from her open bag, while she enjoys a coffee with Jacob, leaving her bag unattended.

2. Jai gets support

Elsewhere, Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) remains in the doghouse after his partner Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) began to believe he may be back on the drugs.

He was also accused by his own sister Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).

It all began when the Hide café manager found a bag of drugs as Jai searched for his phone in Take A Vow's offices.

Thankfully for him, Jai gets some form of support from Leyla Cavanagh (Roxy Shahidi).

Coming up, Leyla spots Jai in the pub and bolsters his mood by saying she believes him when he says the drugs weren’t his.

She later suggests one of their clients could have their hen-do at The Hide.

Little does he know he's not the only Emmerdale resident who could potentially have a history with drugs.

3. Leyla's secret is revealed

Wedding planner Leyla has been on edge since seeing Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) in the village and remains less than keen to see hanging around.

However, Priya likes her suggestion of collaborating with them with her events business.

The following day, Suzy tells them she has secured a meeting with a potentially rich client.

Outside, Leyla spots Suzy bantering with Callum just as Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is approaching.

Suzy has connected with Vanessa, even accepting a dinner date with the vet.

Leyla does her best to stall her and it soon becomes clear why once she meets furtively with Suzy.

Behind the Hop, Suzy holds up a bag of white powder and gives it a flick but Leyla eagerly grabs it and readies herself to take the drugs.

Back inside, having had such a successful client meeting, Leyla and Suzy celebrate the deal with Eddie, their new client.

Suzy says she needs to call Priya but Leyla says they can do it later as they need to get back to the office.

Soon in the Take a Vow office Leyla is on a coke-fuelled roll as she and Suzy celebrate.

But Vanessa suddenly walks in just as Leyla has lined up coke on the desk.

Will Vanessa realise what they're up to?

4. Rhona makes a big mistake

Finances are becoming an issue at Smithy Cottage as Marlon Dingle's (played by Mark Charnock) hospital bills pile up and he's put on statutory sick pay.

This means his fiancée Rhona (portrayed by Zoe Henry) has a lot on her plate.

Yet the village vet is eager to get back to work this week and she returns to Butler's Farm – but her first day back doesn't go as planned.

While she's happy to be back, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) notices how distracted Rhona is as her mind wanders.

Rhona's worry is soon well founded as she realises she has made a big mistake during her work day.

The following day, she is determined to do things right but is nervous about leaving Marlon home alone.

Speaking of which…

5. Marlon is rushed to hospital

This week, Marlon continues to recover from his stroke and spends some time alone with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).

Bear takes Marlon on a visit to the allotment but a concerning cough from the latter prompts village GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) to suggest Marlon should be taken to hospital.

The cough worsens and, soon, Marlon struggles to breathe.

Bear is mortified at the way the day has turned out and he explains everything to Rhona.

But Rhona is more cross at her mother for allowing Marlon out.

In the hospital, Rhona’s sick with worry to learn Marlon has developed aspiration pneumonia.

The chef is wearing a breathing mask as his coughing worsens and is distraught when he sees the concern in Rhona's eyes that his condition is worse than she lets on.

According to the doctor, the pneumonia will likely make Marlon's progress regress and the couple are heartbroken by the step backwards.

Elsewhere, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is taken aback to hear his father Bear blame himself over Marlon's predicament.

Will Marlon ever fully recover?

6. Gabby's son vanishes

Could Jamie Tate (played by actor Alexander Lincoln) return to the Dales?

ITV viewers have known for months that Kim Tate's son faked his own death, but in the village, only Gabby Thomas (portrayed by Rosie Bentham) is aware that he's actually alive.

Coming up, she begins to fear Jamie may come back for their son, Thomas.

When Gabby gets home, she starts to be scared that Jamie has taken Thomas, as she finds no signs of him or Amelia.

Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) quickly tries to reassure her by telling her Jamie won't return.

However, Gabby remains unconvinced.

Later on, she keeps some news to herself.

Is Jamie really back?

7. Faith tries to build a bridge

Elsewhere, Faith Dingle's (Sally Dexter) relationship with her son Cain (Jeff Hordley) is still on the rocks after she kept a devastating secret from him.

This week, she is still desperate to build bridges with him and soon Chas suggests using her grandson Kyle (Huey Quinn) and gardening as a way in.

Before long Faith convinces Cain to let her take Kyle to the allotment, and suggests Cain join them.

At the allotment, Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) is coerced into doing all the graft and an arriving Cain softens a little, agreeing to bring Kyle over.
