On Wednesday, ITV hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back to present This Morning. The duo invited regular guests Nick Ferrari and Beverley Turner on to the show to discuss the latest news headlines. However, Beverley quickly angered viewers with her views, as they spoke about care workers being sacked if they don’t get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The radio presenter sparked anger from viewers after she said care workers were “uneducated”.

“Well this is a story which has been going… obviously we have been speaking about this for several months and what the outcome would be,” she began.

“If these 60,000 carers are sacked because they don’t want to take the vaccine.

“Maybe they’ve already had COVID and consider themselves to have immunity, maybe they just don’t want to for whatever personal reason.”

“The impact of this is just going to be bed-blocking,” Beverley continued.

“That is already happening. In Cornwall, at the moment they are already bussing in NHS healthcare workers to work in care homes.”

Beverley went on to say the UK has to decide what kind of country they want to live in.

She pointed out care home workers are often paid a low income.

“They are often lower-paid, younger, possibly not educated to a particularly high level,” she added.

Beverley’s comments left This Morning viewers raging with many taking to social media to share their frustrations.

Some even called for the presenter to be sacked from appearing on the show.

Karina raged: “What an absolute tool this woman is!! So apparently all care workers are uneducated. My mum’s screaming at TV losing her head @thismorning.” (sic)

Tasha wrote: “Please tell the lady who was discussing the news this morning, that her comments about carers was extremely offensive.

“Stating that we are poorly educated is simply untrue. Many of us have degrees and other qualifications.”

While Ceria penned: “How patronising ‘carers not educated to a high level’ try doing their jobs my love to properly care there are many skills that you need.”

“How Bev Turner say care workers are probably not very well educated. God help the NHS if 60,000 Care Workers leave the industry,” Dame Lily tweeted.

Dave added: “Beverly Turner shouldn’t be given airtime, she’s deluded.”

While Jeff called for Beverly to be sacked completely.

He commented: “OMG that horrid woman on @thismorning just said all care workers are low educated and often young #ThisMorning awful statement she needs sacking.” (sic)

Ken said: “#ThisMorning Why are they giving airtime to this #Covidiot woman?”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
