Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is still facing problems in his relationship with Sally (Sally Dynevor) following his triple heart bypass in Coronation Street.
After the initial recovery stage, Tim and Sally were keen to put the spark back into their relationship – but things haven’t exactly worked out.
Alright, let’s just cut straight to the point.
Tim is suffering from impotence.
Following a triple heart bypass, impotence is common in men and for Tim – someone who struggles talking about intimate issues – he’s yet to find the confidence to actually get some help for it.
Coming up, Tim buys some tickets from Debbie (Sue Devaney) for the charity raffle in memory of Oliver and manages to win a romantic night for two in a hotel.
While Sally packs, Tim orders some erectile dysfunction tablets, completely ignoring the warning about heart conditions.
At the hotel, as Tim and Sally kiss, Tim’s heart starts to pound, and he becomes short of breath.
Tim confesses to Sal that he’s taken an erectile dysfunction tablet and collapses on the bed.
Horrified, Sally calls an ambulance, but will Tim finally admit he never went to see Dr Gaddas about his impotence?
