Strictly's Rose and Giovanni break down in tears as he tells her ‘you’re the most beautiful thing to happen in my life’

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Rose Ayling-Ellis and her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice were seen breaking down in tears tonight.

The ballroom pro gushed over the EastEnders actress as being the "most beautiful thing to happen in his life" as they appeared on It Takes Two.

Giovanni, 31, and Rose, 27, are set to perform in the Strictly final on Saturday night – competing for the trophy against John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

Ahead of their final dance, the pair sat down to chat to host Janette Marara on the spin off show It Takes Two to look back over their three-month-long journey.

The dancing couple could be seen breaking down into tears as they watched a VT of Rose's friends and family gushing over how proud they were of her.

Giovanni could be seen patting his eyes as he went on to reveal how much it would mean to him and the deaf actress to win the show.

"You are the most beautiful thing that ever happened in my entire life," the dancer said as he closed his eyes and blubbed. "So I am very grateful."

Looking towards Rose, who was streaming tears from her eyes, he continued: "I am very privileged to be the one able to do the journey with you so thank you."

The pair leant in for an emotional hug as Giovanni gave her a peck on the cheek, keeping his arm around her as she emotionally responded.

"I feel like it would be really nice ending to all the hard work that we both put in – and all the hard work for me to get here in the first place," Rose said.

"It's nice to show everyone that being different is what can make you win."

Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis to play ace card in final as routine is revealed

It comes after Rose revealed the poignant silent moment in her couple's choice performance in week eight "changed her life".

The EastEnders star and her pro partner Giovanni Pernice left viewers in tears with an emotional contemporary routine featuring 10 seconds of silence in tribute to the deaf community.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of this weekend's final, Giovanni discussed the impact of the performance and said, "it was such a big moment, it would be weird for us not to do it again".

He told It Takes Two presenter Rylan Clark: "Obviously the silent moment was so powerful, and because this got so much attention.

"Rose keeps saying the dance changed her life and lots of people’s lives, so it’s just fair to do it again and I think it’s the right thing to do."

To which the soap star added: "It changed my life, yeah".

Earlier today we revealed that Rose will play her ace card in tomorrow’s final by performing the silent dance for a second time.

The moving routine had viewers of the BBC1 dance contest in tears as it featured a lengthy section where she moved around the dancefloor without the sound of music.

Deaf EastEnders actress Rose, 27, wanted to give onlookers a sense of what it was like to live in a world where you could hear nothing.

Speaking as she made last-minute preparations for this weekend, Rose said: “That dance changed my life. So I'm going to give it everything I’ve got.

“I want to enjoy it because it’s my last Saturday night ever – I just want to thank the public for keeping me in and believing in me.”
