Strictlys Tilly Ramsay gets highest score yet following tough week after she was called chubby by radio host

Strictly Come Dancing star Tilly Ramsay received her highest score yet on Saturday night as she was praised by the judges for her "joyous" and "unbelievable" Foxtrot.

During the show, Tilly, 19, admitted that it had been a "tough week" after she hit back at radio presenter Steve Allen after he said that he is "bored with her already”, and proceeded to describe the star as a "chubby little thing".

During Saturday's show, the daughter of Gordon Ramsay wowed the judges — Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke — with her "beautiful" Foxtrot toOne Direction'sLittle Things with Strictly proNikita Kuzmin.

As Tilly waited to hear her scores, she admitted that it had been a "tough" and "challenging" week as she spoke about the gruelling rehearsals.

She said: "It's been a tough week working on all the technique and it's been challenging but I'm so glad we put in all that work and improved from week one as that was the aim."

Tilly also revealed that she had received her first exam mark from university, where she scored an incredible 86% to which pro Nikita called her a "little genius".

The duo went on to get their highest score of the series with four 9s, giving them a total of 36.

Speaking after the results were revealed, Nikita said: "I'm in shock" while Tilly added: "Me too!"

It comes as Tilly has been supported by her Strictly friends and co-stars since radio presenter Steve's offensive remarks.

The 19 year old hit back as she shared a statement on her Instagram feed last week, reminding her 1.1 million Instagram followers that "words can hurt" and that she's still "learning to accept herself".

The TikTok sensation went on to say that she "won't tolerate people that think it's okay to publicly comment and scrutinise anyone's weight and appearance".

In addition to Tilly's Strictly friends, Love Island's Dr Alex George said: "This is horrendous. Who is this person? I am so so sorry Tilly," with a red heart emoji.

Taking it one step further, Alex also wrote an official complaint to LBC Radio as he said: "I am absolutely horrified by these remarks. It is widely recognised just how damaging such comments about someone's weight are and the effect they can have on an individual's mental health.

"We must not only think of the effect on Tilly here, which I can imagine could be significant, but also the potential impact to listeners of the show."

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday nights with the results show on Sundays on BBC One.
