The Walking Dead has been airing weekly on AMC with fans in the UK catching up on Disney Plus. The new season 11 episode will air on October 23 and it follows Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) as they search for their friends who disappeared. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what time the episode will air.

What time is The Walking Dead season 11 episode 20 out?

The post-apocalyptic series is nearing the end of its run on AMC, with just four episodes left to go after this weekend.

Season 11 was split into three parts, with each containing a total of eight episodes, and it will come to an end on November 20.

The new episode is scheduled to air at 9pm Eastern Time in the US, and 6pm Pacific Time, on Sunday.

As for fans in the UK, they will have to wait until 8am on Monday to be able to watch the latest instalment.

The opening minutes of the episode have been released and the video shows a montage of Daryl and Carol throughout the series.

The narration says: “My mum once told me the only thing more dangerous than the dead is the living.

“But without the living, we might as well be dead. We all need people we can count on, and that’s not just about words, but action.

“Having the strength to put someone else’s life ahead of your own – if we are willing to do that, then maybe we can get back a piece of what we have lost.”

The video then shows Daryl and Carol in the present day, riding through the woods on Daryl’s motorbike.

The clip cuts to Carol at the bakery, where Ezekiel (Khary Payton) meets her to bring medical supplies as she prepares to leave.

Yet within a flash, he is gone, and Carol is confronted by two men who attempt to attack her.

She manages to fight them off and escape, with viewers left wondering whether she had been set up.

Viewers took to the comments under the YouTube video to express their love for Carol.

Dupe Doxy Dox said: “Seeing how far Carol has come in the narration brings me tears. Daryl was the best thing to happen in her life.”

Tuomas Pöllä added: “Right on the plate for two loser mercenaries and they missed her.

“Baddies just don’t stop underestimating Carol who has made it all 11 seasons without dying and leaving behind the wake of dead bad guys.”

Actor Norman Reedus said his much-loved co-star could indeed make an appearance in the upcoming Daryl spin-off.

The series was initially going to follow both characters, but as it is being filmed in Europe, Melissa was unable to make it work.

However, when asked what his world would look like without Carol, Norman told The Tonight Show: “How do you know she’s not going to come back?

“You don’t know she’s not going to show up on the spinoff. I’ll just leave it at that. She’s a very big part of Daryl’s story.”

The Walking Dead airs on Sundays on AMC and Mondays on Disney Plus.
