Tipping Point fans fume as quiz is delayed and swapped for best bits round-up

Tipping Point fans were left fuming on Tuesday, as the popular ITV quiz show was pushed back in an unexpected schedule shake-up.

The quiz usually airs weekdays at 4pm until 5pm – but on Tuesday was postponed until 4:30pm.

And that wasn't all, as its usual format was also replaced for a 'best bits' round-up instead, entitled 'Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals."

The unscheduled move – to make way for live racing on ITV – meant the show would only air for 30 minutes rather than the full hour, and only included bits already seen by keen viewers.

Fans took to social media to air their frustration at the unexpected schedule change, with one writing: "No tenable and repeats of tipping point – what am I going to do for my daily quiz fix now?"

Someone else mused: "#TippingPoint Best Ever Finals. I’m not even sure if I’m down for that."

"No #TippingPoint? #ITVRacing […] taking the p***!" a third fan groaned, as another echoed: "Well this is even more disappointing #TippingPoint!"

It comes as viewers were left furious on Monday after declaring they would "boycott" the show after it aired yet another repeat.

One angry fan tweeted: "I’m turning over! I remember this one #TippingPoint."

Someone else posted a picture of their napping pooch, as they penned: "Even he is bored of the repeats! #TippingPoint."

A third fan followed up: "Seen this one, the 'which curved yellow fruit' question is in round 2 #TippingPoint."

"I’ve left #TippingPoint viewing for #APlaceInTheSun – it’s not a repeat!" someone else chimed in.

ITV has been airing repeat broadcasts of both Tipping Point and The Chase currently, leaving fans seething at the lack of fresh instalments.

On Monday, it was Darius, Stephanie, Sue and Jay attempting to best the Tipping Point machine in order to score a whopping monetary prize.

But Darius further enraged viewers by passing on plenty of questions levelled at him by host Ben Shephard.

On Tuesday, viewers were treated to scenes from some of the most explosive finals in Tipping Point history, with Ben providing voice-over for the compilation episode.

First up was vicar Tom, who managed to scoop the jackpot counter out of the machine after taking the trade for three final counters.
