Tipping Points Ben Shephard tells famous player I enjoyed watching you squirm

Tipping Point host Ben Shephard made a cheeky dig at a famous contestant during a celebrity special of the ITV quiz show.

The 48-year-old presenter was back on our screens on Saturday (January 21) as the channel aired a throwback episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars.

Ben welcomed sports legend Matt Dawson, actress Bonnie Langford and Geoff Norcott to try their luck against the arcade machine.

The three famous faces played for their chosen charities but it wasn't long before Ben took a savage swipe at former A Question of Sport presenter Matt.

After asking which Uk national team won the 2021 Rugby Union Six Nations, Matt stumbled before correctly answering "Wales".

Ben told Matt: "I did enjoy watching you squirm then" after the retired England rugby union player appeared flustered during the first round.

Things went from bad to worse for Matt as he became the first contestant to be given the boot.

He managed to win the least amount of counters from the machine, meaning that he was sent home.

However, he didn't go home empty handed as Ben told Matt the show was giving a sum of cash for his chosen charity.

It comes after Tipping Point viewers were left hot under the collar during recent episode of the ITV show.

During Friday's (January 20) show, fans became distracted by contestant Lee.

The blonde beauty didn't get off to a great start in the show, but redeemed herself by knocking down a large number of coins in a lucky drop.

Fans were immediately rooting for the account manager from Yorkshire as they wanted her to be on the screen for as long as possible.

“Hope lee wins today..” gushed one viewer followed by love heart eye emojis.

Another agreed: “Lee for the win then, I’m in love,” also offering some love emojis and wink face.

Her snazzy gameplay saw player Ashley booted off in the first round, leaving her taking on retired accountant, Grant.

Viewers were rooting for the blonde babe to catch Grant, but his lead almost £2k seemed to be impossible to catch.

Her lady luck appeared to run out as she trailed behind and was sent home, taking Grant into the final.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV1 and ITVX
