VPR season 9 slammed as 'boring' after show fires Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute & more in 'racism' scandal

VANDERPUMP Rules fans slammed the show as "boring" as season nine got into full swing.

The criticism came after a number of popular stars from the Bravo show got fired ahead of season nine, including Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder, and Kristen Doute.

Viewers took to Twitter during Tuesday night's episode to express that the show is just not the same without some of the OGs.

One person wrote: "I agree if you go woke you go broke, they kept the boring ones, Jax and Stassi were VPR, they are the stars, not TOM and TOM.. lol took it off DVR no need to watch, Ariana is a big turn off."

Another posted: "Raise your hand if you think it’s a matter of time til #VanderpumpRules gets axed. Instead of firing, @bravotv should have shown growth of @JaxTaylor @BNCartwright @stassi @iambeau @kristendoute in time. VPR has lost the flavor of old friends w long history imho. Sad."

"Firing of @stassi @iambeau @kristendoute seemed like a bad knee jerk reaction. Fans & actors would’ve loved to see individuals demonstrate change & personal growth in positive ways in time."

The current cast lineup includes Lala Kent, Randall Emmett, Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, Tom Schwartz, Kate Maloney, James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss.

FIRINGS

Not returning for season nine was Stassi, 33, Kristen, 38, Jax, 42, and Jax's wife Brittany Cartwright, 32.

In December, Jax and Brittany announced they would not be returning .

It followed shock firings in June 2020, when Bravo axed Stassi and Kristen for their “racist” past behavior.

Faith Stowers accused her two former castmates of reporting her to the police for a crime she did not commit in 2018.

New members Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, were also fired when racially insensitive tweets were recently uncovered by Twitter users.

Stassi reacted to the firings with a statement: "Racially insensitive comments from my past have resurfaced. It is important that I continue to take accountability for what I have said and done while pushing myself to do better.

“I have grown significantly from the person I was then, and I am still filled with remorse and regret for the hurt I caused. I am grateful for the people in my life that continue to check me and push me to evolve into a more educated person."

Stassi earlier this year welcomed daughter, Hartford, and Brittany and Jax welcomed son, Cruz in April.

LALA VS. ARIANA

Ariana and Lala’s friendship appears to be over after a huge fight during the season 9 premiere episode last week.

The pals got into a heated confrontation during Tuesday’s episode of the Bravo hit series and the drama – filmed months ago – which boiled over to real life, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

Ariana told The Sun that to this day, she is still “no longer friends” with Lala.

“Her comments during the premiere were the straw that broke the camel’s back. After that, I was done,” she confessed.

During the premiere episode, Ariana was in bed with husband Tom Sandoval when she gets a call from friend Scheana Shay.

New mom Scheana, 36, went on to play a snippet from a podcast in which Lala said: “With Ariana, it is what it is.

'I DON'T GIVE A F**K'

“You know what, let’s not pretend. I don’t give a f**k about you, you don’t care about me."

The blonde beauty was outraged with the comment and fired back: “Whatever. That’s f**king annoying and I hate that.

“She can talk about somebody else, you don’t use me to get attention. I’m over being reasonable and chill. F**k her!”

Ariana added in a confessional: “I don’t give a f**k about 90% of people but I’ve actually gone out of my way to give a f**k about Lala.

“I’ve opened up to her about my anxiety and mental health issues. I mean, I let the girl eat my cookie,” she added of their prior hookup in the back of the car while Ariana’s husband Tom was present.

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 9pm ET.
